Hi,As you may have noticed, ARFNET was down from around 1200 to 2300 UTC+2 on April 28th.
This was due to a continental-wide power grid failure (yikes) that happened around France, Spain and Portugal apparently, for reasons unknown other than an unforseen 15GW drop or something like that.
I could do nothing about this, however, this was a real good test of the UPS and mechanisms, and the test passed. The UPS detected several power failures starting at 1100, the final one being at 1233 (the official outage time). The UPS kept things running until the shutdown reached the timeout target of 15 minutes and begun shutting down VMs at 1248, sending the last SIGKILLs at 1251 and powering down.
So yay. Everything is back up now, nothing is lost. Should anything go wrong though we're cooked because I'm not usually on site but at 60km away without transport so yeah.
